On Monday morning, Jan. 11, at 10 o'clock Mrs. Catharine Wimmer died after a prolonged Illness of nine years. For three years Mrs. Wimmer was helpless and for the last year, she was bedfast. Mrs. Catharine Wimmer \was the daughter of Martin and Mary Kwapiszeski of Panama, la. She was born May 17, 1885, at Panama. There it was that she grew to womanhood. In February 1904 she was united in marriage to Eugene Wimmer, Father Fedler performed the ceremony. She and her husband moved onto a farm southwest of Charter Oak and lived there till last spring. Last March she with her husband moved to Mapleton and acquired the Brenner farm. It was in the newly acquired home that she breathed her last. Mrs. Wimmer always appeared to be happy even in protracted illness. Medical skill could do nothing for her. She was indeed a patient sufferer. The Obsequies were held from St. Mary’s church. Wednesday, January 13 at 9:30 o’clock, Father Wagener officiated both at the funeral mass and at the grave in St Mary's Cemetery

Mrs. Wimmer leaves to mourn her a grieved husband and her son of ten years. Also, her father and mother of Panama who attended her interment. Her brothers Fred L. and Joseph L and her sisters, Mrs. Anna Klein and Rosalie all of Panama and her brother Jno L. Kwapiszeski of Dunlap all were here for the funeral.

Other relatives that attended were Valentine Flitner of Panama and Joseph Schechinger of Westphalia May she rest in peace.
