SLOAN, Iowa -- Lois Lucille "Oudy" Eliason, 80, of Sloan died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Community Church of Christ in Sloan, with Dr. Emery Killian officiating. Burial will be in Whiting City Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service of Onawa, Iowa.

Oudy was born Sept. 1, 1924, in rural Whiting, Iowa, the daughter of Harl and Mary (Hoenstein) Richardson. She was raised and attended school in Whiting.

She married Richard "Dick" Eliason on May 8, 1945. The couple owned and operated Dick's Highway Tap in Sloan for many years. Dick passed away Feb. 10, 1987.

She was a member of Community Church of Christ. She was very devoted to her family and enjoyed spending her time with them.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Rick and Chris Eliason of Dallas, Texas; a daughter and her husband, Becky and Wendell Hubert of Sioux City; seven grandchildren, Colby Eliason, Andy Eliason, Jennifer Kinney and Matthew, Sarah, Alexander and William Hubert; five great-grandchildren, Sofia Eliason, Juliet and Lucius Hubert and Molly and Ben Kinney; a sister and her husband, Rosie and Gene Framke of DeLand, Fla.; and a brother and his wife, Bill and Bev Richardson of Marengo, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Dee Dee, Port, Joan and Sis; and five brothers, Carl, Don, Bob, Jim and Wayne.
