ONAWA, Iowa -- Marie G. Moeller, 97, of Onawa, formerly of Fremont, Neb., died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Whiting, Iowa.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be in Elk City (Neb.) Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Marie Georgia Moeller was born Jan. 4, 1908, to C.V. and Belle Shumaker, on the family farm near Elk City, Neb. She graduated from the 10th grade in Elk City and from the 12th grade in Fremont. She attended Midland College in Fremont. She taught at School District 41 near Elk City for one year.

She married Hans Moeller on Aug. 3, 1927, at her home in Washington, Neb. They moved to the Moeller farm near Elk City, where they lived until retiring and moved to Fremont in 1953. Hans died in April 1994. She continued to live in Fremont before moving to Whiting, then to Onawa. She had been a resident of Pleasant View Nursing Home since April 2002.

She was a member of Fremont Daughters of the American Revolution, the Methodist Church, the Ladies Aid and the Royal Neighbors in Elk City.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Georgia and Henry Lamprecht of Onawa; a son and his wife, James and Nancy Moeller of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Randy (Diane) Lamprecht of Hornick, Iowa, Sally (Jim) Morgan of Fredrick, Md., Sandra (Steve) Richardson of Whiting, Amy Moreno of Gilbert, Ariz., and Linda (Tom) Bottomlee of Glenview, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Michael Morgan of Kansas City, Mo., Jason (Renee) Lamprecht of Hornick, Jaclyn (Will) Acosta-Trejo of Omaha, Michael (Jacob) Moreno of Gilbert, and Bradley Bottomlee of Glenview; and a great-great-grandson, Kaden Lamprecht of Hornick.

Memorials may be directed to the Elk City Cemetery.
