PIONEER RESIDENT OF COOPER TOWNSHIP DEAD
Mrs. Henry Ragis Died Tuesday of Last Week
Mrs. Henry Ragis for the past twenty seven years a resident of Cooper township passed to her reward Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Claus Rohde, five and one-half miles southeast of Mapleton.
July 19, last, Mrs. Ragis celebrated the eighty-fourth anniversary of her eventful life as one of the early pioneers of western Iowa.
Mr. and Mrs. Ragis came to Cooper township, Monona county seven years ago from Lyon's, Iowa. Mr. Ragis died eight years ago last January.
The funeral services were from the Soldier township church and were conducted by Rev. Wolfram. The burial was at the Soldier township cemetery.
There survives to mourn the loss of a loving mother her three daughters, Mrs. Henry Rohde, of Mapleton, Mrs. Claus Rohde of Cooper township, and Mrs. Fred Noethlich of Ute, besides twenty grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
