Pioneer Resident Passes Out of Life At Age of 77 years

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Goslar, 77, pioneer resident of Ute, who passed away early Saturday morning at the home of her son, Henry Goslar, after a short illness, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the St. Paul Lutheran Church. Rev. E.H. Widmann, pastor of the church, officiated.

Interment was n the Lutheran Cemetery at Charter Oak.

Grandsons of the deceased, acting as pallbearers, were; Ervin Lenz, Walter Holtorf, Ralph Goslar, Paul Kragel, Martin Kragel and Earl Dixon.

Minnie Plagge was born at Husum, Germany, province of Hanover Germany, on March 29, 1860. She came to America in 1881. She was married the same year, in October, to Dietrich Goslar. They made their home in the vicinity of Ute and Charter Oak. Born to this union were six children, two of whom preceded their mother in death, one in infancy and the oldest daughter, Mrs. Martha Lenz in April, 1920. Mr. Goslar died in September 1904.

She is survived by four children; Mrs. William Holtorf, Mrs. Albert Lafrentz, Henry Goslar, all of Ute and Mrs. George Lee of Cushing. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, also one sister-in-law, Mrs. Augusta Plagge. Mrs. Goslar's sister, Mrs. Christena Engelke, preceded her in death just several weeks.

Mrs. Goslar had lived in Ute the past 25 years, having lived alone, with the exception of staying with her daughter, Mrs. Albert Lafrentz, the last five winters.
