Norman Strait Died of Infantile Paralysis

Private funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the farm home southwest of Ute, for Norman, 13-year-old son of Mrs. Mabel Strait. Norman passed away early Sunday morning at a Sioux City Hospital of infantile paralysis. He was taken to the hospital Friday.

Rev. E.H. Widmann, of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, conducted the funeral services and interment was in St. Clair Cemetery here.

Norman was a pupil at Soldier Township School No. 3, taught by Miss Elizabeth Clinton. When the case was diagnosed the Strait family was placed under quarantine and the school closed.

He have heard of no other cases in this vicinity.
