Was Former Resident Here—Died at Home of Daughter at Manilla

Rasmus Jensen Died 1937

We take the following from last week’s issue of the Mapleton Press:

Funeral services for Rasmus Jensen, 79-year-old former resident of this community who passed away Wednesday in the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Swanger, at Manilla, Iowa, will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock in the Swanger home.

Interment will be in the St. Clair Cemetery at Ute about 3 o’clock.

Mr. Jensen made his home on farms in this community several years ago and will be remembered by many here.

He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Walter Bray and Mrs. R.D. Bittle of Mapleton, Mrs. Emma Rawlings of Manilla, Mrs. Sophie Jacque of Battle Creek and Mrs. Swanger of Manilla and four sons, Frank, Alfred and Chris Jensen of Mapleton and Pete Jensen of Glenwood, Iowa.

He Also is survived by 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
