Mapleton, Iowa -- Nettie Grace Leisinger, 82, of Mapleton died Monday in a nursing home in Whiting.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Walter Funeral Home in Mapleton. The Rev. Dick Krambeck will officiate. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery near Rodney. A Prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Mrs. Leisinger, the former Nettie Riley, was born June 6, 1902, near Ticonic. She lived in Ticonic, Castana, Soldier and the last 42 years in Mapleton. She married Lewis Leisinger May 24, 1920, in Onawa. They farmed until 1940 when they moved to Mapleton. He died October 1, 1974. She worked for Suiter Poultry Co. and as a cook in the Home Café in Mapleton.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Gladys Phipps and Mrs. Raymond (Dorothy) Archer, both of Onawa, Mrs. Leonard (Darlene) Wackeldorf of Mapleton, Mrs. Dean (Norma) Kohler of Payola, Kansas and Mrs. Marvin (Donna) Larsen of Ute; two sons, Vernon of Moville and Freddie of Mapleton, one brother, Maurice of Mapleton; five sisters, Mrs. Glen (Leola) Cook, Mrs. Norman (Ruby) Tiepell and Mrs. Donald (Evelyn) Palmer, all of Vancouver, Washington, Mrs. Harvey (Fannie) Dowdy of Sioux City and Mrs. Everett (Helen) Parker of San Jose, California; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
