John Lundeen dies at Onawa
1979

John Glen Lundeen, 87, son of Charles and Ida Smothers Lundeen, died Thursday, November 1, 1979, at an Onawa Hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Lundeen was born July 8, 1892, in Woodbury County, Iowa. He married Ethel Browning on January 4, 1911, at Onawa, Iowa. They farmed near Grant Center. She died August 22, 1960. He had lived on the same farm for fifty years.

Survivors include one son, Waldo of Hornick, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Franza) Champion of Rodney, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Ridgway of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Pauline Cleveland of Loveland, Colorado, Mrs. Opal Hauchins of Marcus, Iowa; three brothers, Earl of Lake Park, Iowa, Wesley of Akron, Iowa, Ralph of Sioux City, Iowa, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

His parents; two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were Cliff Swendson, Melvin Uhl, David Mann, Loren Blakely, Walter Swendson and Rex Persinger.

Mrs. Steven Longlee was the organist and the vocalist was Mrs. Margaret Maynard aided by Darrell Larson.
