Local memorial service set for Thomas McGrain

Memoria services for Casper, Wyoming resident Thomas R McGrain, age 52, were conducted at 2:00 p. m. Saturday, November 13, 2004 at Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Casper with Tom Hahn officiating.

Family and friends are invited for a gathering by the family of Tom for Mass on Saturday, December 11 at 11:00 a. m. at St Mary's Catholic Church in Mapleton. A luncheon will follow.

Tom died on November 8, 2004 at Torrington Community Hospital. Colyer Funeral Home in Casper was in charge of the cremation arrangements.

Tom was born on September 18, 1952 in Ute, Iowa, the son of Leo and Dorothy (Prokop) McGrain. He grew up on a farm in Ute and graduated from Charter Oak-Ute High School in 1970. Tom received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa in 1974. He taught and coached in Denison, Iowa and also in Casper, Wyoming. He was an avid outdoorsman. On October 11, 1980, he married Daletta Harris. They owned a janitorial business in Casper for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Daletta of Casper; brothers, Bob McGrain and his wife, Miki of Portland, Oregon, Nick McGrain and his wife, Trish of Topeka, Kansas, Dan McGrain and his wife, Diane of Council Bluffs, Iowa, sisters, Mary Kay and her husband, Roger Dial of Des Moines, Iowa, Dorie and her husband, Duane Mittlieder of Omaha, Nebraska, Jean Cashman of Storm Lake, Iowa, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
