Doris M. Heinle Borsheim, 85, Sloan, Iowa passed away Friday, March 11, 2005 at Pleasant View Care Center, Whiting, Iowa.

Doris was born January 27, 1920 at Albaton, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Hattie (Peterson) BuBois. She was raised in the Albaton area where she attended country school and later graduated from Sloan High School in 1939. She married Harold "Shorty" Heinle January 10, 1946 at Skien Lutheran Church, Albaton. The couple farmed in rural Sloan. Shorty passed away August 4, 1992 after over 46 years of marriage. April 28, 2001, Doris married Norman Borsheim at Skien Lutheran Church and the couple made their home in Sloan. Norman passed away April 21, 2002. She entered Pleasant View Care Center August 2003.

Doris was a member of Skien Lutheran Church and WELCA and also the neighborhood Birthday Club.

Survivors include her son and his wife, Roger and Joan Heinle of Whiting, Iowa; four grandchildren, Kerensa Ross of Omaha, NE, B. Jill Ross of Council Bluffs, IA and Max and Cassie Heinle both of Arizona, a great grandson, Andrew Reiss; a daughter-in-law, Sonya Heinle Hill of Glendale, Arizona; a sister and her husband, Joyce and Keith Lavail Olson of Whiting, a brother-in-law and his wife, Ray and Pat Heinle of Oelwein, IA and several nieces and nephews.

In additions to her husbands, Harold and Norman she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Heinle.

Funeral services were Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at Skien Lutheran Church, Albaton, Iowa with Pastor Pete Boe, officiating. Music selections were organ solos, "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art" with Bev Roarson, organist. Burial was in Sloan Cemetery. Visitation was 5:00- 8:00 PM Tuesday at the church. Arrangements were under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa.

Casket bearers were John Heinle, Robert Heinle, Gregory Olson, Melvin Olson, Rolle Zellers and Jeff Redmond.

Honorary bearers were Jim Heinle and Michael Olson.
