Dorothy Eileen Murdock, 83, of Onawa, died Friday March 11, at a Sioux City hospital.

Dorothy was born March 20, 1921, at Beulah. N. D., the daughter of Rush Warren and Ethel Florence (Lantis) Wyatt. She attended school in Nebraska and Missouri through the 10th grade. On August 2, 1941, she was united in marriage to Bernard L. Murdock in Dakota City. S.D. They farmed near Rodney for thirty years before moving into Onawa in 1980. Dorothy also worked at various positions for Iowa Beef. She enjoyed reading and watching TV. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters Elsie and husband, Neil Baker of Emerson, NE and Carol Porter of Sioux City, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bernard in 1997; and four brothers.

Graveside Services were held at 10:00 A. M. Tuesday. March 15, 2005, at the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa, with Rev. Steven C. Hetzel officiating. Music selections were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Wind Beneath My Wings".

Casket bearers were Russ Bousquet, Troy Porter, John Baker, Lee Kirkpatrick, Bill Wyatt, and Bill Murdock.

Arrangements were by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
