Jensine Bothilde Jensen 1889 - 1982

Mrs. Jensine Bothilde Jensen, a longtime Rodney, Iowa, resident, passed away at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton, Iowa, on February 9, 1982. Death came at the age of 92 years 5 months and 17 days.

She was born at Jerslev, Denmark, on August 22, 1889, to Ludvig Christian Moller Christensen and Anna Helena Nielsen Christensen. She came to the United States in 1925 and was married to Jens Jensen on April 20, 1925, in Sioux City, Iowa. The couple lived in Omaha before moving to Rodney in 1930. Mr. Jensen did April 16, 1973. Jensine was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Dwain (Ellen) Schmidt of Rodney and two grandsons, Paul Schmidt and Dean Schmidt, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Services were held at the United Church of Christ at Rodney, Iowa on Thursday, February 11, 1982 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Dale Church officiating. Mrs. Ellen Harbeck was organist.

Casket bearers were John Skow, Oscar Hanson, Frank Burkhart, Glen Skow, Max Smith and Keith Johnson.

Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sioux City, Iowa, with arrangements by the Willman Funeral Home of Rodney, Iowa.
