WHITING, Iowa -- Rhonda Carol Richardson, 56, of Whiting died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 10th and Lucas, Onawa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Rhonda was born Aug. 26, 1948, in Lake City, Iowa, the daughter of Hugh and Bernice (Burley) Arthur. She was raised and educated in Lake City and graduated from Lake City High School.

She married James Richardson on March 2, 1968, in Lake City. A short time later, the couple moved to Whiting, where they made their home and raised five children.

In the early 20's, Rhonda was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She courageously fought the illness her whole life

Survivors include her husband, James of Whiting; a daughter and her husband, Andrea and Michael Lynch of Loveland, Iowa; four sons, Tracy and his wife, Tonya of Sioux City, James M. and California, Michael of Sioux City and David of Omaha; two brothers, Dane Arthur of Kansas City and Randy Arthur of Lake City; a sister and her husband, Jamie and Michael Koller of Stevens Point, Wis.; and three grandchildren.

She will be laid to rest next to her parents in Lake City, Iowa.
