Whiting, Iowa – Sindea J. Gilbert (Cindy Uhl) 47, of Woodland Hills, California, died October 30, 1996, following a brief illness.

Services were held November 2, 1996, with burial in Oakwood Memorial Cemetery in Chatsworth, California.

Ms. Gilbert was born November 13, 1948, in Sioux City, the daughter of Melvin and Evelyn (Sherman) Uhl. She graduates from Whiting High School in 1966. She moved to California upon completion of high school.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen of Woodland Hills, California; her parents of Onawa, Iowa; two sisters, Glennis and her husband, Bill Schneider, of Canyon Country, California and Sharon and her husband Dave Mesker of Henderson, Nevada, two brothers, Terry and his wife, Devera of Omaha, Nebraska and Ron of Sioux City.
