Ralinda Dee Ward, 46, of Castana, Iowa died 1:15 A.M. Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Whiting Christian Church in Whiting with Minister Tom Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Kennebec Cemetery, rural Castana. Visitation will be held 9:00 – 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the church with services to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Ralinda was born on August 10, 1970 in Onawa, the daughter of Leeland and JoAnn (Farley) Utterback. She married Thomas Eugene Ward on April 24, 1999 in Onawa. He survives.

Along with her husband, Thomas, she is survived by one daughter, Cheyanne Dee, and one son, Kyle Thomas; her mother, JoAnn Utterback; and two brothers, Rod (Katrina) Utterback and Randy (Helen) Utterback.

She was preceded in death by her son, Cameron Eugene, and her father, Leeland Utterback.
Ralinda loved her Lord and enjoyed her time working in the church wherever she was needed. She loved life and her family to the fullest. She was a member of the Whiting Christian Church. For Ralinda this is a happy time for her. She was going home. She asks that you rejoice with her.

Ralinda loved to sew, and different crafts. She loved being outside gardening and being close to her Lord.
