Beulah B. Stone, 85, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Valerie Heller of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Grant Township Cemetery, Rodney, Iowa. Visitation will be 3:30 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Beulah was born Jan. 26, 1922, in Ticonic, Iowa. She attended Sioux City schools and graduated from Central High School in 1940. She had been a lifelong resident of the Siouxland area.

She married Kenneth LeRoy Stone on Oct. 12, 1946, in Elk Point, S.D. She was a homemaker and in later years, she was employed with the Boy's Club as a cook.

She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, youth choir director and was a member of the adult choir, the Ladies Aid Society and Naomi Circle. She enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader, an avid reader, baking, cooking, gardening, flowers, sewing, doing crossword puzzles and family gatherings.

She is survived by three daughters, Betsy Wilde of Sioux City, Ellen and Larry Cates of Elk Point, S.D., and Mary and Ted Graff of Sioux City; three sons, Michael Stone, Orval and Carol Stone and Ron and Tina Stone, all of Sioux City; a sister, Joyce Randall of Bedford, Ohio; 26 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sons, Lauren and John Stone; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Keith, Virgil and Duane Comer; sisters, Sharon, Elaine and Vivian Comer; a son-in-law, Fred Wilde; and a brother-in-law, Robert Randall.
