Carl Eugene Tillman, 81, of Columbus died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Bryden Place in Columbus. Prior to his failing health, he lived in Westerville.

He was a graduate of Mapleton High School, in Mapleton, Iowa and attended the Ohio State University for several years. He worked many years at produce markets in the Columbus area and had served in the Army National Guard during Viet Nam.

Carl was born to the late Warner and Irene Tillman on September 1, 1935 in Woodbine, Iowa. He was also preceded in death by a brother Richard.

He is survived by his son Warner Tillman of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Evelyn (Ward) Kowalke of Cresco, IA, Norma Erlemeirer of Soldier, IA, Pam (Fred) Uhl of Sioux City, IA; a sister-in-law, Carol Tillman of Marysville and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Per Carl’s wishes, private family services will be held at a later date and he will be buried by his parents at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor’s choice in care of Ingram Funeral Home, Marysville, Ohio who is completing arrangements.
