Linda Rae Hightree, 34, Onawa, Iowa, died August 11, 1986, at her residence of an apparent heart attack.

She was born July 1, 1952, at Ute, Iowa, to Othie and Darlyne (Davis) Leisinger. On January 24, 1971, she married Gaylord Harvey at Onawa. She lived in the Ute and Castana area before moving to Whiting in 1973. She had been a resident of Onawa since 1977. On December 1, 1980 she married Jene Hightree.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Travis Rae Harvey of Onawa; two stepsons, Rolin and Jason Hightree, both of Onawa; two stepdaughters, Shawna Hightree of Onawa and Lynette Tallman of Tekamah, Nebraska, her mother, Darlyne Leisinger of Onawa; two brothers, Edwin of Hornick and Dennis of Onawa; two sisters, Connie Leisinger and Barbara Ponce, both of Castana; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Davis of Castana; and one step-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Randy Harvey; and her paternal grandparents.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 1986, at the First Christian Church in Onawa with Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. Mrs. Paul Petersen the organist accompanied Mrs. Harvey Hanson who sang, “One Day At A Time.”

Bearers were Gaylord Harvey, Milton Harvey, Duwayne Harvey, Loyal Harvey, Richard Strong and Bud Harvey.

Interment was in St. Clair Cemetery at Ute, Iowa, with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
