Lila Woodrich, 64, Whiting, Iowa, died June 13, 1986, of injuries received in an accident east of Whiting.
She was born October 19, 1921, at Albaton, Iowa to Raymond (Pete) and Ella (Anderson) Watson. She came to Whiting in 1936. On June 23, 1940, she married Cleo A. Woodrich at Onawa. He died September 8, 1977, at Whiting. She had been a nurse’s aide at Pleasant View Nursing Home for the past seven years.
She was a member of Whiting Church of Christ and the Dorcas Society.
Survivors include; one son, Tony of Wilmington, North Carolina; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Sandra) Phipps of Castana; one sister, Grace Mazza of Antioch, California; three granddaughters, four nephews, five nieces and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cleo and one sister Doris Hopkins.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 16, 1986, at the Church of Christ, Whiting, Iowa, with Evangelist Rusty Hedger officiating. The organist was Mrs. Arnold Brenden. Mrs. Arnold Brenden and Jan Brenden sang, “It Is Well With My Soul.”
Casket bearers were Tom Frank, Randy Ping, Raymond Mazza, Dan Neldeberg, Dave Carlson, and Monty Hopkins.
Internet was in the Whiting Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa, with arrangements by Pearson Funeral, Home, Onawa, Iowa.
