Meddie Wilma Christensen, 83, Moorhead, Iowa, died May 16, 1986, at Burgess Memorial Hospital, Onawa, Iowa.

She was born December 12, 1902. at Missouri Valley, Iowa, to William and Florence (Burson) Losh. On December 17, 1919, she married Tenus Christensen at Onawa, Iowa. They farmed west of Moorhead until retiring in 1961. He died May 10, 1980, in Onawa.

She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church and Peter A. Hansen American Legion Post No. 365 Auxiliary.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Noel (Frances) LaSeur of Tallahassee, Fla.; and Mrs. Marvin (Norma Jean) Lauritsen of Cleveland, Tenn.; one son, Clayton, of Ames, Ia.; one brother, Wallace Losh of Moorhead; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Dorothy) Rains and Mrs. Ben (May) Nuzum, both of Pisgah; eight grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one grandchild.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 1966, at the Bethesda Lutheran Church at Moorhead with Rev. Paul Birkedal officiating. The organist, Mrs. Steven Johnson, accompanied Steven Johnson who sang, "Amazing Grace". The congregation sang, "Our Father Has Light In His Window".

Bearers were Dwight Nuzum, Merle Losh, Vernon Christensen, Virgil Johnson, Jim Jorgensen and Ithel Rains.

Interment was in Spring Valley Cemetery at Moorhead with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
