Wilbur C. Ordway, son of William Wayne and Malinda K. Ordway was born near Chase, Chase County, Nebraska, on September 18, 1903, and died at Loma Linda Community Hospital at Loma Linda, California, on April 13, 1986, at the age of 82. He had been in ill health for several months.

When he was a young child, he and his family moved to Iowa where he grew up and finished high school at Castana, Iowa, in 1921. He then spent one year at the University of Nebraska and one year at the University of Kansas.

He married Florence Anderson of Onawa, Iowa, on December 30, 1933. They lived at Castana, Iowa, where he was in the farming and trucking business until November 1942 when they moved to Inglewood, California. For the past 15 years, he and Florence have resided at Yucaipa, California.

He is survived by his wife, Florence, of Yucaipa, California, and two sisters, Mary O. Hedges of Redlands, Calif. and Vada O. Hastings of San Luis Obispo, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.

Memorial services were held at Hughes Mortuaries Chapel at Yucaipa, California, on Saturday, April 26, 1986, with Rev. Lee Mc-Clanathan officiating.

Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 1986, at the Onawa Cemetery at Onawa, Iowa, with Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. Arrangements were by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa.
