Karen, A. Hayden, 76, of Onawa, Iowa went to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at her residence.

Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Michael Lewis, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service time at the Chapel on Wednesday. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Karen was born March 19, 1940 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Baldwin) Bremmers. Karen attended Roosevelt Elementary School, West Junior High School, and Central High School in Sioux City, Iowa.

Karen and Theodore Hayden were united in marriage on August 8, 1959 in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
Karen worked for Dyna Tech and Donelly Marketing for several years.

Karen enjoyed playing her piano, crocheting, and especially loved spending time with her family. She was an avid bowler and a fan of stock car racing and Elvis Presley.

Survivors include her husband, Theodore "Ted" Hayden of Onawa, IA; four daughters, Patricia (Curt) Feekes of Sioux City, IA, Linda (Dewey) Schager of Sioux City, IA, Ella (special friend, Rick Service) Benson of Sioux City, IA and Kelli (Blake) Perkins of Anthon, IA; two sons, Theodore "Teddy" Hayden Jr. of Onawa, IA and Ron (Tami) Hayden of North Sioux City, SD; one sister, Pat (Dan) Deose of Brook Park, MN; an adopted daughter, Vickie Walters of Onawa, IA; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews, cousins, and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy (Baldwin) Bremmers; one son, Harlan "Tyke" Derby; one daughter, Teri Heald; one brother, Jimmy Bremmers; one great grandson, Jason Schnee Jr.; and many other relatives who were dear to her heart.
