Craig J Dittman, 38, died at his residence in rural Whiting on April 8 1986.

He was born on February 6, 1948 at Sioux City, the son of Eugene and Elizabeth (Fletcher) Dittmann. He graduated from Whiting High School in 1967 and from Western Iowa Tech in Council Bluffs as an airplane mechanic. He was a licensed pilot. On September 5, 1975 he married Julie Young at her parent’s home in rural Sloan. Craig was engaged in farming in the Whiting area.

Survivors include his wife Julie, his parents Eugene and Elizabeth Dittmann of rural Onawa, and a brother Norman of Pleasanton, Calif. and numerous aunt and uncles.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 11, 1986 at Church of Christ, Whiting, with Evangelist Rusty Hedger officiating. The organist was Mrs. E. B. Matthews.

Casket bearers were Dwight Jenkins, Dennis Mikkelson, Dennis Wiggs, Wesey Peyton, Herbert Lloyd, Dyson and Wesley Miller.

Arrangements were by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa.
