William Comfort, who moved onto a farm near Farmington MO in February with his family from Blencoe, where he had resided in the town and vicinity during his entire life, died Wednesday evening April 5 at his new home in Missouri. He had suffered a severe attack of grip and abscesses in his head had resunted from it which caused his death.
The body was brought back to his hold home at Blencoe for buriel, the funeral being conducted from the Congregation Church at Blencoe Saturday at 2:00 p.m. by the pastor. Mrs. Comfort and daughter Ina accompanied the remains to Blencoe, returning to Missouri Tuesday evening.
The deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. U.U. Comfort, who were pioneer residents of Sherman township and was a carpenter and paper hanger during his residence in Blencoe, purchasing the Missouri farm and moving onto it only a few weeks before his death. He married Miss Helen Jewell of near Blencoe and five children, three daughters and two sons were born to the union. Effie, now Mrs. Fred Warner of Blencoe, Clay, Ina, Helen, and Willis who reside at the Missouri home.
