Nelson Wright was born July 7, 1885 at Onawa, Iowa and passed from this life in the Veterans Hospital in Omaha on January 10, 1976. Death came at the age of 90 years.

Nels was a life long resident of this community, serving as a farmer until retirement several years ago. During World War I, he answered the call of his country and served in the United States Army.

Survivors include his one sister, Isabell Stanley of Hartley, Iowa along with several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 1976 at the Pearson Funeral Chapel at Onawa, Iowas with Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. Organ music was provided by Mrs. Clara Kelley.

Bearers were Leonard Hervey, Dale Kreger, William Reynolds, James Ooten, Rogene Eisele and Rick Reynolds.

Interment was in the Onawa Cemetery at Onawa with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa, Iowa.
