Page Ooten died at the Onawa hospital on Monday evening April 5, 1954 after suffering a severe heart attack a few days prior. Mr. Ooten was born at Mohawk, Tenn. on January 14th, 1882.

Page had been a resident of Monona County for the past 50 years, 42 of these years he had spent in Onawa. Mr. Ooten was an experienced steam engineer by trade.

He is survived by Clarence Ooten of Tigard, Oregon, Jess, Lavern and Page Jr. of Onawa; Calvin Ooten of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Dorothy Swesey of Blencoe; Miss Genevieve Ooten of Onawa; Mrs. Agnetta Holsclaw of Onawa; and Mrs. Julia Coffman of Whiting.

Besides one sister Julia in Tennessee and a brother in Kentucky, Mr. Ooten attended public scool in Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o'clock this Thursday afternoon at the Onawa Christian Church with Rev. Everett E. Epperson officiating. Burial will be in the Onawa cemetery with the Pearson Funeral Home in charge.
