Funeral on Saturday for Mrs. Paul Clark
Funeral services were held Saturday (May 24, 1930) at 1 o'clock in the afternoon in the Methodist Church for Mrs. Evelyn Violetta Durston Clark, 22 years old, who died in her home in Mapleton late Wednesday afternoon (May 21, 1930) of heart trouble. Rev. Edward Pruitt officiated. Burial was at Graceland cemetery in Sioux City. Mrs. Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.G. Durston, was born August 23, 1907 in Mapleton. At the age of 9 she moved with her parents to Sioux City where she was graduated from Central High School. On July 26, 1926 she was married to Paul Clark of Morningside. After residing about a year in Texas they returned to Sioux City and later moved to Mapleton. About 3 years ago Mrs. Clark suffered an attack of scarlet fever, this affecting her heart and finally resulting in her death.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband, one son, Wayne-2 yrs old, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Durston, and four brothers, Arthur, Everett, Clifford and Warren.
