Mrs. Orrin Babb, 78, of Mapleton died Thursday, March 15, 1984 in a nursing home in Onawa.

Services were at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Walter Funeral Home in Mapleton. The Rev. Everett Epperson officiated. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Babb, the former Anastacia May Boger, was born May 1, 1905, to Edward and Katie (Toomey) Boger in Dillon, Montana. She married Orrin Babb June 4, 1930 at Dillon. They moved to southern Idaho, where they lived until 1942, when they moved to Mapleton. She taught rural school at Rodney and Schleswig and also taught at the Manilla grade school. She entered the Elmwood Nursing Home at Onawa 3 ½ months ago.

Mrs. Babb was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was also a Den Mother in Cub Scouts for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Regenald of Freemont, Nebraska and George of Sioux City; one daughter, Mrs. William (Sharon) Meeves of Bennington, Nebraska; one brother, Waldron of Napa, California; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Pallbearers were Clark Zediker, Lester Theobold, Dale Rotnicke, Fred Kuhlmann, Leonard Powell and William Hagerdon.
