MRS. SUSAN MAPES

Mrs. Susan Mapes was born January 18, 1858 near Danville, Illinois.

She was the widow of David H. Mapes of Battery L, First Ohio Light Artillery. She died Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lottie Knapp, five miles northwest of Moorhead.

Surviving besides Mrs. Knapp are three, sons James of Havre, Montana J. W. of Anthon and C. H. Mapes of St. Joseph, Mo.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon and burial made in the Onawa cemetery. She was 72 years old.
