Kenneth Paul Perkins, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Perkins of Blencoe, la. was born in Blencoe on August 26th, 1922 and died at the Lutheran hospital, Sioux City at 4 o'clock on Wednesday, July 20th at the age of nine years, ten months and 6 days.

According to medical knowledge the deceased has for some time been accumulating poison in his system, though it was not detected until he was suddenly stricken with appendicitis on Monday last. On Tuesday he was taken to the hospital where an operation was performed, but the poison in his system had advanced too far to be counteracted and death came on Wednesday afternoon. In the opinion of the attending physician it is doubtful whether Kenneth could have been saved even had he been taken a week earlier.

Kenneth was a regular member of the Congregational Sunday School and during 1931 and indeed up to the present time this year had maintained a perfect record for attendance. He will be greatly missed.

He leaves to mourn his loss besides his parents, three brothers, Lawrence, Robert and Billy his grandparents, Mrs. Zadow and Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Perkins of Dawson, Minnesota, 2 great-grandmothers, Mrs. Sarah Terry, Ida Grove, Iowa and Mrs. Matilda Zadow, Wall Lake, Iowa. There are also a great number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

They funeral service was held at the Congregational church on Friday the Rev. W. Ewart Dudley and Rev. M. P. Jones officiating. There a large attendance of sympathetic friends and the floral tribute were numerous. Playmate of Kenneth acted as pallbearers and six girls as flower girls.
