Janet Marlene Kamm, 75, passed from this life on Friday, Nov. 21, at her home in West Des Moines. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, located at 900 Warrior Lane in Waukee, of which she was a member. Burial followed at Waukee Cemetery in Waukee.

Janet was born Nov. 5, 1939, in Mapleton, one of 10 children to Harold and Viola (Marsh) Hauschildt. She married Donald “Don” Eugene Kamm on Nov. 19, 1959, and their marriage was blessed with two sons.

Janet was employed as an accountant with Farm Bureau for 25 years until her retirement. She was a loyal and dedicated Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoyed camping, playing solitaire, and going on her annual trips to Las Vegas.

Most of all, Janet loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Janet is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Don Kamm, of West Des Moines; two sons, Perry (Denise) Kamm of Urbandale and Craig (Chris) Kamm of Adel; two brothers, Donnie (Mary) Hauschildt of Cape Coral, Fla., and Randy (Karen) Hauschildt of Earlham; four sisters, Marilyn (Carl) Dollar of Benton Harbor, Mich., Marsha Whiteaker of Van Meter, Sharon Hauschildt of Earlham, and Julie Coffman of Waukee; two sisters-in-law, Kathy Hauschildt of Greenfield and Barb Hauschildt of Greenfield; four granddaughters, Melody Kamm, Jenny Leonard, Ashley Kamm, and Emily Kamm; and four great-grandchildren, Haylee and Kenadie Kamm and Payton and Keaton Leonard.

Janet was preceded into eternal life by her parents; and three brothers, Royce, Everett, and Wayne Hauschildt.

Janet was a member of the Mapleton High School graduating of 1958.

The family greeted friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, at Iles Westover Chapel in Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be made to the Janet Kamm Memorial Fund for the family to designate later.
