19 November 2014Kathryn "Katy" Howschultz, 83, of Blencoe, Iowa, passed away November 14, 2014 at her home in Blencoe.
Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.
Katy was born July 14, 1931, near Blencoe to Harry and Irene (Miller) Nielsen. She graduated from Blencoe High School, and then worked at the phone exchange in town.
She married James Howschultz on June 17, 1948, in Blencoe. The couple farmed in the area. They enjoyed dancing and travel.
Katy is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; three brothers, Kenneth (Lucy) Perry, Earl (Dona) Perry, and Jack (Marcella) Nielsen; and one sister, Janyce (Tommy) Carritt.
Memorials in Katy's memory may be directed to Burgess Hospice in Onawa, Iowa.
