Flora A. Kelly, 83, of Onawa, Iowa, died at her residence in Onawa on May 18, 1999.

She was born February 22,1916, at Thatcher, Arizona, the daughter of E.H. and Zina Johan (Cleft) Johns. She graduated from high school in Arizona and moved to California in 1932. She married Charles C. Kelly on July 3, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The couple moved to Onawa in 1950. Flora was a homemaker and was the bookkeeper for her husband's business. Mr. Kelly died March 24, 1993 at Onawa.

She had been a member of the Eastern Star and helped her husband with Shriner's activities until his death.

Survivors include one brother, Carl Edward Johns of Sylmar, Calif.; one nephew; one great-niece; and one great- nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Delbert Wm. Johns; and one sister, Pearl Johns.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 1999, at the Onawa Cemetery with Pastor Donald R. Ludwick officiating.

Casket bearers were Jack Virtue, Terrence Virtue, Gerald Cameron, Larry Kreger, Charles Bentley and Harold Johnston.

Interment was in the Onawa Cemetery with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Monona County Historical Museum.
