Mae E. Hansen, 87, of Dunlap, Iowa, formerly of Little Sioux, Iowa, died Monday, September 28, 1998, at Dunlap Care Center in Dunlap.

Mae was born April 2, 1911, at Little Sioux, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Della (Ellis) Haynes. On June 25, 1943, she married Wilburn Aaron Hansen in Omaha, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Little Sioux, Iowa. Mr. Hansen died June 25, 1943, at a Logan nursing home.

She was a member of the Little Sioux Methodist Church and the Little Sioux Prayer Group.

Survivors include 2 sons, Robert and his wife, Carolyn of Onawa and Roger of Little Sioux; 2 grandchildren, Justin and his wife, Traci Hansen of Platte City, Missouri, and Wendy Hansen of Onawa; and 2 great grandsons, Eric and Brenden Hansen of Platt City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Richard; and a brother, Arthur Haynes, Sr.

Graveside Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 1998, at the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Randall Coffin officiating. Arrangements were by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
