Onawa, Iowa- Carl "Corky" Junior Moore, 65, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Onawa died Sunday, Aug. 17, 1997, at Jenny Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa, with the Rev. Lonnie Parton officiating.

Burial will be in Onawa City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Moore was born Dec. 4, 1931, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Carl "Red" Wesley and Louise (Bowlen) Moore. He graduated from Onawa High School.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955, aboard the USS Badoeng Strait.

He was a long time resident of the Omaha and Council Bluffs area.

He owned and operated several small business in this area, which were interspersed with employment with larger corporate organizations.

He was a member of the Council Bluffs Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Victory Fellowship Church in Council Bluffs.

Survivors include his mother of Onawa; his wife, Sandra A. (Brown) Moore; a son, Carl E. of Omaha; a daughter, Karen L. Coryell of Carter Lake, Iowa; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Betty Louise.
