Don Martin Pullen, 66, of Whiting, Iowa, passed away Monday, September 27, 1982 at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.

He was born October 21, 1915, at Whiting, Iowa, to Gail and Zoe Pullen. On April 1, 1937 he was married to Harriet Mable Smith at the Pullen home place where he was residing at the time of death. For 19 years they farmed near Sloan where their three children were born. In 1956 they moved to Sheffield, Iowa, where they ran a T.V. and furniture store. In 1975 they retired and returned to the Pullen farm at Whiting.

He was a member of the Whiting Church of Christ and a Past Master of Weston 562 Masonic Lodge, Whiting, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Harriet, one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Palma) Pope of Mason City; two sons, Mark and Steve Pullen both of Garland, Texas; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, Malden Pullen, Whiting, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents Gale and Zoe.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 30, 1982 at the Church of Christ at Whiting with Robert Butt, Evangelist, and Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. The organist, Mrs. Nancy Brenden, accompanied the soloist, Gilbert Smith, who sang the selections, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "His Eye Is On The Sparrow."

Bearers were Aage Neldeberg, Kirt Neldeberg, Bill Mortenson, Everett Heinle, Harold Heinle and Ernest Olson.

Interment was in the Whiting Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Services by Weston Lodge No. 562 A.F. & A.M., Whiting, Worshipful Master, Larry Waugh, Orator, Jewell Waugh.

Arrangements were by the Wood Funeral Home, Whiting, Iowa.
