DANBURY, Iowa — George William Thul, 70, of Danbury died Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, at Morningside Care Center in Ida Grove, Iowa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton, Iowa, with the Rev. Gary Heideman officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Thul was born April 10, 1928, in Danbury, the son of Otto C. and Emma M. (Wunsche) Thul. He lived and farmed in the Danbury area his entire life. He donated land to the Iowa Heritage Foundation, which is now known as Thul Woodlands.
He was of the Jehovah's Witnesses faith.
Survivors include a brother and his wife, Henry and Gladys of Storm Lake, Iowa; and two sisters, Agnes Treiber of Battle Creek, Iowa, and Elsie Dose of Danbury.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Emil, Helmut Otto Jr. "Dick" and Harry
