SLOAN, Iowa — Harold L. Queen, 84, of Sioux City, formerly of Sloan, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at Harvest Morningside Care Center in Sioux City.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home in Sloan. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Albaton, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Queen was born Oct. 2, 1915, in Albaton, the son of William Edward and Maggie (Wight) Queen.
He farmed the family farm and lived in the Sloan area. In 1980, he moved to Sioux City. In 1985 he entered Matney Morningside Manor, now known as Harvest Morningside Care Center.

Survivors include a sister, Maude Seubert of Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard; and two sisters, Hazel Clark and Gladys Hickman.
