Paul L. Quigley was born January 16, 1884 in Crawford county, the son of George and Susan Quigley. Death came after a brief illness at a Sioux City hospital Saturday, July 18, at the age of 80 years, six months and two days.

Mr. Quigley worked in Omaha at the Livestock Exchange for many years and later made his home in Denver, Colo. for a number of years. November 28, 1921 he was united in marriage to Beulah Forrest at Omaha. She died October 10, 1934.

For the past 22 years he had made his home with his brother, Mr. and Mrs. George Quigley, near Turin. Earlier in life he was a member of the Christian Church, the IOOF Lodge and Bee Hive Lodge No. 184, A.F. & A.M. in Omaha.

Survivors include, besides his brother, George of Turin, two other brothers, Albert F. of Eugene, Ore. and Alvin D. of Concord, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Grace Carroll of Meadow Grove, Neb.; a number of nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Thompson, and two brothers, Chester C. and Thomas Edward Quigley.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 at the Pearson funeral chapel. Rev. Paul R. Johnson officiated. Mrs. Orland Ferris sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Sweetly Resting", accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Carl Linden.

Casket bearers were Asa Johnston, Darrell Madsen, Ernest Ellis, Richard Madsen Jr., Bud Nelson and Kenneth McClure. Interment was in the Belvidere cemetery at Turin.
