Myrtle Arlene Means was born Highland, Kansas, April 25, 1910, and died on October 20, 1985, in Tacoma, Washington.

Myrtle moved to Onawa, Iowa in 1914 with her parents, James and Ellen Smith. In 1945, she moved to Tacoma, Washington.

Services were held Monday, October 21, 1985, at 7:00 p.m. Father Patrick Stewart S.J. officiated at the Oakwood Hill Chapel.

She was preceded in death by two husbands.

Surviving her are one son, Warren Witwer of Auburn, Wash.; one daughter, Delores Laur of Readlyn, Ia.; three sisters, Vera Cummings of Auburn, Wash.; Vada Cauterico of Walnut Creek, Calif.; Violet Nixon of Tacoma, Wash.; four brothers, Earl Smith of Buckley, Wash.; James Smith of Carson City, Nev.; Howard Smith of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and Everett Smith of Winslow, Wash.; two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in the Oakwood Hill Cemetery with arrangements and services under the direction of Oakwood Hill Funeral Home.
