Richard I. "Huck" Moore, 90, of Moorhead, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 23, 1999, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.

Huck was born May 8, 1908, rural Dunlap, Iowa, the son of Perry Alden and Rada (Treft) Moore. On February 5, 1934, he married Mildred May Riley in Omaha, Nebraska. The couple farmed near Moorhead. Mrs. Moore died October 24, 1969, in Sioux City.

He was a member of Hillcrest Lodge A.F. & A.M. #648 at Castana and Vesper Lodge A F. & A.M. #223 at Onawa.

Survivors include 5 sons, Gary of Soldier, David and his wife, Janice, of Bossier City, Louisiana, Daniel and his wife, Jerre of St. Joseph, Missouri, John of Moorhead, and Mark and his wife, Ariel of Overland Park, Kansas; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Helen Allen of Onawa, Irma Ewing of Osceola, Missouri, and Ella Mortenson of Denison, Iowa; and 1 brother, Earl and his wife, Iva Lou Moore of Moorhead, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; 1 son, Kenneth Perry; and 2 sisters, Laura Gray and Nellie Jenkins.

Masonic Services were held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 1999 with Steven Jewett, Orator, at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 25, 1999, at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with Pastor Donald R. Ludwick officiating. The organist, Mrs. Jack Jordan, played the selections "How Great Thou Art" and Precious Memories" and "Rock of Ages".

Casket Bearers were Gerald Davis, Harold Johnston, Leland Hathaway, Bo Fox, Keith Carlson and David Maule.

Interment was in Belvidere Cemetery at Turin, Iowa, with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
