June Lucille Gries, 58, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, at her residence following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in St. Clair Cemetery, Ute, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Armstrong Funeral Home in Ute.

Miss Gries was born July 3, 1940, in Whiting, Iowa, the daughter of Cecil and Irene (McKeown) Gries. She lived with her parents in the rural Soldier area until her father's death. She then moved with her mother to Sioux City.

She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and Disabled Bowlers. She enjoyed playing bingo, square dancing and watching movies.

Survivors include three cousins, Donna and her husband, Dennis Gigaroa, Inez Ross and Debbie Walding, all of Sioux City; and several aunts, uncles and other cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her mother and a sister.
