Mapleton, Iowa-- Lester Lee Mohr, 65, of Mapleton died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998, of injuries suffered in a farming accident near Charter Oak, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church in Ute, Iowa, with the Rev. Ken Baughman officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Armstrong Funeral Home in Ute.

Mr. Mohr was born Nov. 29, 1932, in Ute, the son of John and Minnie (Freerking) Mohr. He graduated from Ute High School in 1951.

He married Norma Martz on Aug. 18, 1979, in Ute. He farmed in the Ute and Mapleton areas. He did baling and trucking in the area and worked for Bomgaars.

He was a member of Ute United Methodist Church and enjoyed sports and the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, James of Ames, Iowa, Russell and Lance, both of Mapleton; and two brothers and their wives, John and Dee of Ute and Stanley and Mirian of Loveland, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents
