ONAWA, Iowa - Katherine "Kate" Meadows, 70, of Onawa died Monday, June 12, 1995, at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa with the Rev. Steven C. Hetzel officiating. Burial will be in the Onawa Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today at the Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.

Mrs. Meadows was born March 15, 1925, in Castana, the daughter of Addam and Inez (Albertson) Bellis. She attended country school at Castana and was a lifelong resident of Monona County. On March 14, 1946, she married Arthur Willard Meadows at Dakota City. He died Oct. 8, 1961, in Omaha.

Mrs. Meadows was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, David McNeill Post 129, American Legion Auxiliary, the Neighbor Birthday Club and AARP.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Willard and Linda of Missouri Valley, Roger and Ruth and Charles and Lisa, all of Onawa; a daughter, Arlene and her husband, Ross Long of Marshalltown; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a special friend, Warren Poland of Onawa; two sisters and their husbands, Virginia and Willis Brink and Odessa and Raymond Fleck, all of Onawa, and a brother, Addam Bellis and his wife, Tillie of Colorado Springs, Colo.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Leola and four brothers, Leo, Roy, Robert and Charles.
