Lola M. Harvey, 73, of Sloan, Iowa, died Friday, May 1, 1998 at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa.

Mrs. Harvey was born May 5, 1924, near Rodney, Iowa, the daughter of Homer and Yetta (Kohart) Morgan. She attended school in Holly Springs, Hornick, and Sloan. On September 15, 1944, she married James "Bud" Harvey at her parent's home, rural Sloan.

She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Sloan.

Survivors include her husband James "Bud" of Sloan; four sons, Loyal and his wife, Kathy and DuWayne and his wife, Sue, all of Sioux City, Milton "Ray" of Quimby, Iowa, and Gaylord of Onawa; one daughter and her husband, Crystal and Randy Gulick of Whiting; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother and his wife, Raymond and JoAnn Morgan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Cheryl, in infancy.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 1998, at the Evangelical Covenant Church, Sloan, Iowa, with Rev. Richard Moore officiating.

The pianist was Sandy Marnel and the soloist, April Nagel, sang the selections, "Amazing Grace" and "May The Road Rise Up to Meet You".

Casket bearers were DuWayne Harvey, Milton Harvey, Loyal Harvey, Gaylord Harvey, Corky Harvey, and Nicky Harvey.

Interment was in the Hite Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa, with arrangements by Wood. Funeral Home, Sloan, Iowa.
