Corey Joe Mead, Sioux City, Iowa, died in Sioux City on Sunday, December 30, 1990. Death came at the age 16 years 5 months and 20 days.

He was born July 10, 1974, in Spencer, Iowa, the son of Joyce Mead and Steven Mead. He attended North High School and Lincoln Center High School in Wallingford, Iowa.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Mead of Sioux City; his father, Steven Mead, Sioux City; two brothers, Timothy Mead and his wife, Andrea, and Beau Mead, all of Sioux City; a sister, Tina Mead, of Decatur, Nebraska; his step-father, Lloyd Lange, of Sioux City; a niece, Amber, and a nephew, John; and his grandmothers, Dorothy Hanks of Sioux City and Edith Mead of Smithland, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 1991, at United Church of Christ, Rodney, Iowa, with Rev. Earl Miller officiating.

Casket bearers were Lyle Hanks, Ron Hanks, Donnie Hanks, Randy Grasz, Mike Lanning, and Bill Cowan.

Interment was in Grant Township Cemetery at Rodney, Iowa, with arrangements, by Willman Funeral Home, Rodney, Iowa.
