BLENCOE, Iowa— Amanda P. Kendall, 87, of Blencoe died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at United Church of Christ in Blencoe, with the Rev. John Noer officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, rural Blencoe. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 6 p.m., at Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.

Mrs. Kendall was born Jan. 9, 1912, in rural Little Sioux, Iowa, the daughter of Levi and Regina (Herrmann) Martin. She attended Blencoe Community School.

She married Bennie Francis Kendall at Onawa, on Aug. 10, 1929. The couple moved to Blencoe in 1930 where they farmed until moving into Blencoe in 1972, when they retired. Her husband died June 12, 1980 in Omaha.

She cooked at the Blencoe Community School for several years.

She was a member of United Church of Christ and the Women's Fellowship. She was also a member of the Book Club and the Garden Club.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Noreen and Randall Kuhlman of Davenport, Iowa; three sons: Gary and his wife, Bonnie, of Onawa, Robert of Hornick, Iowa, and Duane and his wife, Sue, of San Diego; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim Martin of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and a sister, Ida Denney of Onawa.

She was preceded in death by a son, Everett; a daughter, Norma Jean Lander; a son-in-law, Bernie Lander; a daughter-in-law, Darlene; and five brothers: Walter, Ben, Ed, Anthony, and Albert
