Everett D. "Micky" Maxwell of Landrum Lane, died Sunday, December 2, 1984 at a Sterling, Colo. hospital. He was 66 years old.

Funeral services by Sterling B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 1336 and the Rev. Robert Brown officiating were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, December 7, 1984 from Chaney-Walters Funeral Home, Sterling, Colo. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, in Sterling.

Mr. Maxwell was born May 29, 1918 in Blencoe, Iowa the son of William and Eva Nickolisen Maxwell. He attended school in Blencoe. He was married to Julia Ooten on January 6, 1939 in South Sioux City, and moved to Sydney, Neb. in 1952 where he worked at the Sioux Ordnance Depot.

He moved to Sterling in 1954, then to Loveland and Longmont, returning to Sterling in 1965, where he married Lila M. Mitchek May 2, 1965.

Mr. Maxwell worked for Big R Stores for 16 years then at North Sterling Marina part time after retirement. He was a member of the First Christian Church, the Sterling Elks Lodge No. 1336, where he served as Tiler, Sterling Moose Lodge and was a past member of the Eagle Lodge of Onawa.

Mr. Maxwell is survived by his widow, Lila Maxwell of Sterling, four daughters, Mrs. Kitty Gardner of Ft. Collins, Colo., Mrs. Connie Whitmer of Bucklin, Mrs. Carol Greger of Tigard, Ore. and Mrs. Linda Porter of Whiting, six step-children, eleven grandchildren, fourteen step-grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Chaney-Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials are requested to go to the Elks Memorial Scholarship Fund.
