Lillian Elizabeth Wilder Orr, 75, of McClelland, Iowa, formerly of Onawa, Iowa, died at her home in McClelland on Sunday, August 2, 1998.

Lillian was born July 16, 1923, at Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of John E. and Ethel M. (Gries) Gray. The family moved to a farm near Onawa when she was seven years old and she attended school in Onawa. On July 29,1944, she married James Wilder of Onawa. She was a homemaker and seamstress. On August 16, 1975, she married John L. Orr at Elk Point, South Dakota. After their marriage, the couple made their home in McClelland.

She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America for twenty-two years.

Survivors include her husband, John L. of McCelland, Iowa; four sons, Ronald and his wife, Norma Wilder of Onawa, David and his wife, Donna Wilder of Salix, Michael and his wife, Susan Wilder of Onawa, and Jim Wilder of Sioux City; five daughters, Eva and her husband, Lynn Parr of Mapleton, Connie Wilder and Rocky Brooks of Council Bluffs, Linda Fernandez of Sioux City, Betty and husband, Jim Kellogg of Decatur, Nebraska, and Vivian and husband, Jeff Vader of Hebron, Nebraska; 25 grand-children; 37 great-grandchildren; and a half sister, Delores Miller of Onawa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Heidi; one great-granddaughter, Megan; and three brothers, John, Ronald, and Raymond.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 1998, at the First Christian Church in Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Donald R. Ludwick officiating.

The organist, Mrs. Vince Phillips, accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Fred Gibson, in the selections "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" and "Good Night and Good Morning".

Honorary Bearers were Michael Storm and Rocky Brooks, Jr.

Casket Bearers were Kevin Wilder, Amos Parr, Dustin Wilder, David Riley, Patrick French, Jr. and Tim Wilder.

Interment was in St. Clair Cemetery at Ute, Iowa, with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
